Belgian Coticule Slipstone

Regular shaped slabs of round top yellow coticule whetstone that are bonded to a non-sharpening supporting layer of shale, great for sharpening curved blades, rounded chisels, curved gouges etc.This is a selected coticule, cut from clear creamy coloured veins that have minimal cosmetic inclusions.What grit is coticule? In terms of where it fits into your sharpening regime, the answer is 4000 – 10,000 depending on how you use it – a thick slurry and moderate pressure gives a fast cut, just water and light pressure gives the finest finish.
