Mujingfang Ebony Mini Chisel Plane

Small but perfectly formed, this little plane from Hong Kong based Mujingfang excels at cleaning up the ends of stopped rebates or housings where the nose of a shoulder plane or bullnose plane prevents it from cutting. The sole registers off the existing planed surface allowing the cutter to extend it all the way into the corner. Also handy for scribing from one panel to another, like a patternmaker’s mouse. Like a shoulder plane, the cutter is fractionally wider than the body allowing it to be laid on its side and set flush with either the left or right side.
